I’ve lived at so many farms I’ve lost count. I was originally rescued by a lady from a very bad situation where I suffered terrible abuse as a young calf.  That was back in 2007.   was so hungry and so thin and weak, but this lady fed me milk with a bottle and I loved her so much.  But then I had to leave her farm and at the next place I was cruelly separated from my best friend, Boo the sheep. I was heartbroken and lost, being forced to live only with other cows.  After Boo wasted away and died, I was finally allowed to come to Star Gazing Farm in October 2015 where I found I could spend all my days with sheep, goats, chickens and many others. What a blessing!

Don’t get me wrong I love other cows, but it’s so much more rewarding to be able to make friends with other species large and small, healthy and infirm. My mothering instincts blossomed here and I watch over everyone, making sure they get the right encouragement or a gentle nurturing touch. And speaking of touch, the volunteers here give massages freely and scratch all my hard to reach itches. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
