Description
Come out to watch our fiber animals be relieved of their winter coats! It’s an instant transformation, and quite an interesting process to observe. We will be shearing our:
- alpacas
- sheep
- angora goats
- llamas
Farmer Anne shears professionally and will be doing the demonstrations. Our volunteers will explain the different types of fiber and you’ll have a chance to touch it, and card and even hand spin it if you want to try!
The shearing is done with the utmost respect for the animal; however, because it is not part of their daily routine, it can be a bit stressful for them so we’ll be keeping everything very low key.
