Hello, I’m Gilbert the Goat! I came here because I was very very sick. I was so skinny and I couldn’t even stand up. I couldn’t even sit up on my own. But I had the look of love about me – everyone just loved me. They could see that my spirit is a peaceful and sweet one, and everyone wanted to help.
I spent 6 weeks in the hospital and I got better and better. Soon I could walk on my own. And I gained weight. But I had a big would on my chest from having been lying down for such a long time. It went into my bone and the surgeons had to put these special beads into my sternum so the medicine could heal from the inside out. I feel so good now! But I still needed daily medicine and bandaging for many months, and more hospital checkups. I got very good at riding in the car!
I used to be a little tiny man, but now I’ve gained weight and have a nice round belly. I do always remember my doctors and nurses and how kind they were to me, so I enjoy going out on the road and meeting new people. I hope you’ll invite me over, or come here to visit!
